The DSP2 hardware is a DSP based PCI 2.2 compliant board providing all the functionality needed to drive a complete laser marking system and up to 3 stepper motor driven axis to combine optical and mechanical jobs. In addition, DSP2 can exchange a variety of digital inputs and outputs in custom and standard formats to an host or in a network. Created entirely with SMT technology, this card offers the calculating power of a 75 MIPS DSP which permits optical correction, micro-vectorization sufficient to produce a pair of coordinates at a resolution of 16 bit every 1.5us, and to generate, in real time, all the input/output signals necessary for laser marking. The communication of the coordinates to the scanning head occurs in digital format to guarantee adequate immunity from electromagnetic disturbances .
