Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry visits Laservall booth as the company presents its XMLS micro-laser soldering platform and Physical AI roadmap.
HONG KONG, October 20, 2026 — Laservall, a Hong Kong-founded intelligent engineering platform company specializing in micro-laser jet soldering, presented its XMLS Laser Jet Soldering System and its roadmap for Physical AI-powered manufacturing at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), held October 13–16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Exhibiting within the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP) pavilion, the company showed how it combines manufacturing equipment, automation, inspection and AI to help international brands produce high-value electronic components.
On October 15, Professor Sun Dong, JP, Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the HKSAR Government, visited the Laservall booth. Laservall Chairman James Kang welcomed Professor Sun and introduced the company’s business, engineering capabilities and XMLS system.
Since its founding in 2003, Laservall has built its business around precision engineering, with micro-laser jet soldering as a core capability. Today, its portfolio spans soldering, welding, cutting, marking and laser cleaning, serving customers across electronics, semiconductor and mobility manufacturing. Its international operations extend across Hong Kong, Mainland China, India, Korea, Singapore, the United States and Vietnam.
Building on this foundation, Laservall integrates multiple technologies around customers’ production requirements, connecting the equipment that processes components with the automation that handles them and the inspection systems that check their quality. Its work in AI process intelligence aims to make these systems more responsive to production conditions.

“Our customers need to move from a process that works in development to one that performs consistently in production,” said Yayu Wang, Group Vice President of Laservall. “We bring processing, automation and inspection together around that requirement. Building AI capabilities into this foundation is the next step in helping customers manage more complex manufacturing processes across their operations.”
The XMLS Laser Jet Soldering System was presented as a concrete example of this integrated approach. Combining micro-laser jet soldering with vision and automated optical inspection (AOI), the system shows how Laservall brings processing and quality inspection together within a manufacturing platform.
Alongside XMLS, Laservall shared its longer-term vision for Physical AI-powered manufacturing: connecting equipment with inspection and process data so that manufacturing systems can better identify defects and respond to changing conditions, extending the company’s role in customers’ production processes.
On October 13, Wang also participated in the panel “Making Innovation Real: Advanced Manufacturing, Smart Products, and Global Scale.” He discussed process validation and stable yield as essential conditions for moving from prototype to commercial production, as well as Hong Kong’s role in supporting early manufacturing and connections to international markets.
